Dubbs Restoration department has the equipment and expertise to restore and enhance any video material from black and white films and archive footage to the latest film and TV releases. Our specialised Restoration equipment can be used to Digitally Remaster any video masters for Broadcast or DVD production. If your film has been through the Telecine process we can remove any artefacts from your material to produce a perfect broadcast quality master. Our Restoration suite is also capable of working in, and outputting to, High Definition.

Archangel
The Archangel by Snell and Wilcox is the leading technology to provide comprehensive restoration of damaged footage in real-time, enabling the restoration of damaged film and video at a practical cost. The Archangel has the ability to correct artefacts using PHc motion compensation working on both 525 and 625 originated material. Typical material can be restored within two or three times it’s running length.

Archangel 1 - Steadfast Ph.C

Archangel Steadfast fixes and stabilises motion errors on any video material that has deteriorated or been damaged, either by age or other factors. This covers film weave, picture flicker, overscan, cut detection, aperture, and interpolation.

Archangel 2 - Puritan Ph.C

The Archangel Puritan will clean up dirt, sparkle, noise, scratches, aliasing and dropout. It will also enhance your images by improving picture definition and chroma saturation.

MTI- Correct

The MTI Correct is Hollywood's world leading frame by frame based restoration system for film and video. Correct is an integral tool used for removing the final and more severe imperfections in your material giving a pristine condition master. The MTI Correct V.4 is used to remove unwanted stains, watermarks and deep scratches.

Audio Restoration

Within Dubbs Audio department we have the capability to restore and remove hiss, noise, clicks and Wow- flutter from 2 channel, 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS mixes. Dubbs also has the expertise and equipment to create surround sound from a 2 channels mix to provide a fully comprehensive digitally restored master for broadcast or DVD.
